Where we eat:

Captain Moonlite – Positioned on a cliff-top, over-looking the Anglesea surf beach and commanding panoramic views east along the rugged cliff line between Anglesea and Point Addis. Captain Moonlite provides the ultimate backdrop for diners. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner there is something on the menu for everyone to enjoy. The venue is also available for weddings and private functions with flexible catering packages available. Be sure to book so you don’t miss out!

Uber Mama -  - Share in delicious Australian share plates or enjoy a main meal out in the open veranda with river views. Relax and let the kids explore in the play area.

The Hot Chicken Project –   If you love spicy southern fried chicken, then this is the place for you! The Project delivers on all fronts: Friendly staff, great atmosphere and a fully stocked bar with great selection of tap beers.

Poppies’ Nursery & Café - - Offering some of the freshest, healthiest, and most delightful eats Anglesea has to offer. The café coupled with the food store is committed to providing healthy, delicious and seasonal food. Catering for various dietary requirements including gluten free, dairy free and vegan options. The nursery provides the perfect backdrop to a peaceful and tranquil experience that will leave you coming back

Where to get the best coffee:

b100 Wholefoods – A positive space with wonderful service at b100. Grab a coffee and peruse the bulk wholefoods, herbal apothecary and wellness hub filled with healthy goodies.

Bumble Beez –   Recently refurbished and rebranded. The guys at Bumble Beez serve up amazing coffee to go or stay and enjoy with a yummy breakfast or lunch.

Anglesea General Store –   A gorgeous little store that quaintly walks the line between café, gift shop and convenience store. A good selection of general grocery and day-to-day items with boutique brands and fine local produce.

Where you can get supplies and Fuel:  

Anglesea IGA is the one stop shop for all your needs. If you’re after locally made gourmet produce or your basic kitchen stock, IGA has everything you need whilst on holidays. Owned and run by the same local family since 1982, the staff will always greet you with a welcome smile and local knowledge of any product you may be looking for.

The Shell service station opposite the riverbanks for those last-minute late-night snacks, gas bottles and firewood.

What's on:

Daily tastings at great ocean road chocolaterie

Join a daily hosted tasting session where the knowledgeable team at Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie guide you through a selection of 12 crafted chocolates. Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie will share tips on how chocolate is made, where the ingredients are sourced and artisan techniques that the European Chocolatiers use to create each sweet treat. Sessions take a place at 10am, 12pm, 2pm and 4pm each day, subject to availability.


Athletics Victoria Cross Country (XCR) Anglesea Relay on Saturday 22nd June 2019 is part of a series that runs from May to September at various venues and regional areas across Victoria. Ekiden is a Japanese term which generally refers to long distance relay running race. Even better when you can enjoy the views of the surf coast from the Great Ocean Road course.
