Switch on the soft lighting as the sun sets across the Otways and feel your breath being taken away.

Descending below finds another 3 bedrooms, main bathroom and second living area all spilling onto the front lawn perfect for a spot of private sun baking. Other features include multiple large screen big screen televisions, powder room upstairs, outdoor shower and much more.

Those who know Lorne, know that position is everything. Push too far back from the beach and you are in for a leg burn. Kembali House

The word Kembali is used in Indonesian meaning return. We are certain after one holiday here, you will.

With an enviable location, stunning architecture, ocean views, natural character and warm amenities, Kembali House is the perfect coastal destination for your family and friends.

Nestled into the Wye River landscape, a mere 120m stroll down to the beach, the home is as modest as it is spectacular. Terraced gardens front the timber clad structure which on closer inspection is anchored by the south facing height & width rammed earth wall. Providing amazing insulation year-round, this wall also forms an internal feature across several bedrooms downstairs and the main living upstairs. Add to this a combination of raw timbers, strategic outlooks and contemporary furnishings and you have a seriously impressive holiday home.

Downstairs includes three warm carpeted bedrooms, main bathroom, laundry and second living area. One of many highlights on this level is the bunk room at the rear. Spacious and custom built for the kids, this room extends through sliding glass doors outside to a covered deck area with outdoor shower and surfboard racks.

Moving upstairs, ascending the timber stairwell is an experience in itself as the main living is revealed through a sky lit internal glass wall and exposed Silver Top Ash timbers.

Impressed yet? Of course, you are.

Behold a kitchen fit for a chef, 12 seater dining in the treetops, ocean view lounging about all under soaring 14ft ceilings. Throw in multiple deck areas to chase the sun and the fully en suited master bedroom and you get the picture up here.

Other standout features include Nectre wood heater, louvred roof over rear deck (blades follow the sun – shut-tight during rain to provide dry area on back deck and below deck for kids play area), SMEG appliances, wine fridge & multiple large screen TVs. Oh, lets not forget Kenny the resident koala who lives in the three gums out front. Kenny says hello most nights around 6-7pm.

Kembali House is contemporary, earthy and fun. It is a welcomed addition to the Wye River landscape. Come once and we are sure you will come again.

Brand new house in a fantastic location on the hill with a tempting view down to the beach, General Store and Pub. Excellent layout for our family holiday with bedrooms and living area downstairs for the kids and master and huge open plan kitchen/living area upstairs with extended deck overlooking the beach. Kids loved the interaction with the kookaburras and koalas from the deck as well as the nature path down to the beach for a swim and lunch. We loved it and will be back for sure!!

Kembali was the perfect escape for our young family. Nestled amongst the beautiful trees with amazing views over the point. The house has everything you could ask for. A fully equipped kitchen, undercover BBQ and deck for the afternoon sun. Separate living areas upstairs and downstairs was good for the kids. Easy access to the beach and caf. Wye is great if you want to recharge and get away from the hustle and bustle. Cant wait to get back down there!

Amazingly peaceful spot amongst the trees, but still only a few minutes walk down to Victorias best surf/family beach and fantastic beachside cafe + the iconic pub. Cafe still makes their own fresh bread/sweet goods each day – plus amazing coffee!

But best thing was the view from the deck: phenomenal!
