A large spacious open plan living/kitchen/dining zone takes full advantage of these glorious views. It is the perfect place to spend time with your family and friends in any season.

Beyond the main living, the top level offers four bedrooms all with ensuites and all with their own unique view. A well protected outdoor entertaining area with BBQ and plenty of seating allows you to bask in the sun and appreciate the well manicured native gardens. This space is a perfect zone should the wind turn onshore.

The second level again spoils you with glimpses of aqua through every window. A comfortable second living area with a small kitchenette and dining allows privacy when holidaying with another family or friends. The 2 bedrooms on this level are luxuriously appointed with 2 king beds and access onto the bottom deck. In this level, you will also find a fifth bathroom, laundry facilities and access to the double lock up garage.

‘The View’ is surrounded by fantastic walking tracks, and the beach is literally a stone throw away. A sizeable outdoor spa is a superb place to relax at the end of a long day surfing or adventuring, and you guessed it, take in ‘The View’.

The Bayleys

The Bayleys beach house is all about expecting the unexpected. For example, it has an abundance of space in a location you would least expect it. It oozes character. Something that is fast disappearing in cosmopolitan Lorne. It nurtures heritage while embracing modern styling. Not too cool for school but pretty damn cool. Sounds exciting, it is.

Built in the early 1920s The Bayleys was once the managers residence for Cora Lynn guest house. It has been part of the same family for 4 generations and has been expanded and renovated to accommodate large extended families and friends. The most recent refurbishment of the upper level of the home has allowed it to be opened to the public for the first time.

Nestled right behind the Main Street and an easy stroll to the central Lorne Beach, supermarket and restaurants you can lock the car up, forget about it, the Mexican is only one block away!

Comprising five bedrooms, five bathrooms and a variety of living zones, the home seems to meander its way on and off the surrounding built in verandah. The house has a fully equipped kitchen dining area and a unique Lorne family history room where you can sit by the wood fire and step back in time! There is a large outdoor heated spa next to a BBQ and entertainment area with 2 custom built outdoor wood heaters. The main lounge also has a monster 75 TV for your viewing pleasure.

The large grassy lawn was once a tennis court and as you wander around the garden you will see old fruit trees that were once part of a large orchard that the Cora Lynn guests enjoyed, the cockatoos seem to be the main consumers of them now!

There is an edible green garden and our girls Sunday, Mary, Ruby and Big Red are in the chook house and can lay fresh eggs for breakfast…if you’re lucky!

The lower level of the house is currently not in use so your privacy, peace and quiet is assured. Adjacent to the property is an original guest house bungalow that may be occupied but is separately accessed.

The Bayleys is a property that must be seen, experienced and enjoyed again and again.

It is important to understand this property is a holiday rental, not a shared space or principle place of residence, which ensures you privacy and quiet enjoyment. It is also professionally managed, giving you peace of mind of 24/7 support by a local, just around the corner.

Pricing is based around seasons, length of stay and number of guests. It is important all bookings reflect the exact number of guests. If this changes, you must contact us. Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the published rates across all booking platforms, however Great Ocean Road Real Estate Holidays reserves the right to correct pricing errors.

Unless otherwise previously agreed, all stays must only be used for private residential usage and to accommodate the number of guests stated on your booking. Unless ‘Pets Welcome’ is advertised, the property is strictly no pets.

All holiday accommodation bookings are accepted on the basis that all occupants will treat the property with the same respect as their own home in accordance with the “House Rules”. Noise audible outside the property is prohibited between 10pm and 8am.
