A superb location, only minutes walk from the centre of Lorne allows for you to come and go as you please. Waverley Retreat easily accommodates one large or two small families with living quarters both upstairs and downstairs, along with multiple spacious out decking areas. The rear deck area opens onto spacious bushland giving the property a real sense of tranquility and serenity. Other features include separate external laundry/storage room, bar fridge in second living area and multiple off street parking.

It is important to understand this property is a holiday rental, not a shared space or principle place of residence, which ensures you privacy and quiet enjoyment. It is also professionally managed, giving you peace of mind of 24/7 support by a local, just around the corner.

Pricing is based around seasons, length of stay and number of guests. It is important all bookings reflect the exact number of guests. If this changes, you must contact us. Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the published rates across all booking platforms, however Great Ocean Road Real Estate Holidays reserves the right to correct pricing errors.

Unless otherwise previously agreed, all stays must only be used for private residential usage and to accommodate the number of guests stated on your booking. Unless ‘Pets Welcome’ is advertised, the property is strictly no pets.

All holiday accommodation bookings are accepted on the basis that all occupants will treat the property with the same respect as their own home in accordance with the “House Rules”. Noise audible outside the property is prohibited between 10pm and 8am.

A perfect well presented very clean home Which had everything one could possibly Need in the kitchen. Plenty of space in and outside of the property. Beach in walking distance . Kids loved the tree swing out the back , Would definitely rent this home again.Could not fault anything 10 out of 10

Great family holiday home

We recently spent three nights at Waverley and couldnt have asked for a better home. Neat and tidy with plenty of cutlery and crockery, towels and extra blankets. The tree swing was a big hit with the kids (and adults) and we loved that we could bring our dog with us. The one thing is really needed at the house is some sort of child safety gate at the top of the stairs. The staircase is quite steep and very close to bathroom/bedrooms, so you definitely need to be vigilant with small children. Overall we had a fantastic time and will definitely stay again in the future.

Great space for a family group to stay! The outdoor deck is brilliant as is the well appointed kitchen. We really enjoyed the well appointed property and were very appreciative of the timely communication in the lead up and throughout our stay. The kitchen facilities, downstairs retreat and outdoor decking were sensational spaces. We loved the little treats we received on arrival. That was super thoughtful. We also wanted to acknowledge the special arrangements made to compensate for the issues that arose at the premises prior to our arrival. We were very appreciative of this gesture. Thank you sincerely!

Perfect for family in lorne

We are regulars to Lorne and have stayed pretty much everywhere over the past 20 years. This house was clean, well stocked kitchen, set amongst the trees and had two living areas so was great for kids. The DVD selection for the kids was helpful too. The only downside was the huge hill. Was great for exercise but a bit hard lugging beach stuff up and down. Apart from that (which is truly not even that bad just takes more effort) was great house and great stay!

Great house - Ideal family holiday

We wanted something walking distance to the beach, with a view but not in the middle of town, somewhere with different living zones for kids and adults, and pet friendly without being covered in pet hair and Waverley retreat looked great from the outside and turned out to be ideal in every way. It was spotless and we did our best to leave it that way when we left. Our dog could wander in and out of the house without being able to get away (she likes to explore). The kids and their friends (all teens) could walk to the beach near the swingbridge in a few minutes any time they liked - and did so all the time. They had their rooms and bathroom upstairs, we had our bedroom and own bathroom downstairs. If we wanted we could have used the 2 different living zones but we all get on well and generally shared. There are plenty of spots for a few cars, there were two different areas on the verandah so we could enjoy sunrise and sunset in comfort and still see the beach to determine if there were waves. The kitchen had everything we wanted, the Miele dishwasher was SO helpful, and having a washing machine and dryer meant we could do everything we needed inhouse. Back to the kitchen - PLENTY of cutlery and crockery, plenty of storage space and a great Weber BBQ out the back. If you want ritzy, high gloss accommodation, look elsewhere. If you want warmth, comfort and a home feel, Waverley retreat is it. We have been going to Lorne for Summer for many years and the wonderful folks at GORH Lorne really are friendly and helpful. They helped us find Waverley Retreat which we heartily recommend to any group, family or not, looking for a great holiday experience. Our thanks to the owners for leaving the house spotless for when we arrived and thoughtfully decked out in the kitchen.

We had such a wonderful time @ Waverley Retreat. It is incredibly well catered for, even for our two pooches, who were quite content in the enormous decked entertaining space. There are so many things to love about this place; it is spacious, plenty of room for everyone (and guests); upstairs and downstairs separate living rooms were perfect. The kitchen was excellent and incredibly well stocked with bits n pieces. A fabulous Webber BBQ and the best part, was the huge outdoor decked space. Really lovely to have a BBQ, relax and enjoy the sounds of the birds and the distant sound of the crashing waves and chill out with our mates. The views are partial, but that didn't matter, because everything else was beautiful. The location is brilliant, just down the bottom of the road and you are at the foodworks supermarket, then straight into Loren central. There are some comments on here about the road being steep - yes it is - but it is a fairly typical hillside street in beautiful Lorne, certainly nothing to worry about. We will be back!! Also want to make mention of Great Ocean Road Holiday Rentals people - they are first class and offer a level of service that is second to none. We were even offered a late 2pm checkout, which was a deight. LoveLorne

Very comfortable Super very well equipped kitchen Outside deck area great birds, views BBQ Lovely Inside clean but needed new towels and linen Leaf litter ,gutters, overhanging branches need attention was scary in January Amazing trapeze swing loved by kids Road too steep to walk with tiny kids or very unfit
