This property has been recently tastefully renovated with guest comfort in mind. The property is located in the beautiful hamlet of Marengo, within a short walk to the pristine Marengo beach.
Located just a short 4 minute drive to Apollo Bay or if you prefer, why not take the more leisurely, scenic 2.9 km walk along the walking track that meanders beside the ocean from Marengo to Apollo Bay. For those who are adventurous why not visit the Otway Fly where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Otways or try walking the Great Ocean Walk for exceptional views of our coast line and the hinterland. If you prefer more sedate activities, enjoy the Cape Otway Light Station or the Marengo Reefs Marine Sanctuary.
The property features open plan kitchen, dining and living areas (reverse cycle air con, fire place - guest to supply own wood, 2 x 3 seater couches that turn into futons, coffee machine ( Vittoria Esspresso System Pods), providing all your holiday essentials. Not quite up to expectation
Bridget V - 16th January 2023Unfortunately we spent at least an hour sweeping deck,clearing cobwebs around outdoor chairs, shower, wiping table,reorganising cupboards full of pantry items so we had a small shelf each for food items. General feeling although clean, not ready for guests paying top rate...no welcome wine or coffee. I requested a mow of the dandelions and grass so we could enjoy the dappled shade in backyard...after several requests over 5 days it was whipper-snapper day efore we left. Open plan layout terrific

Claudia B - 1st October 2022Those beautiful windows provide the perfect backdrop for a beach forrest getaway. Comfortable beds, clean linen, excellent amenities so lovely to have a fire place while it’s raining and cold (just bring or buy your own wood), heating in all rooms. We will be back

Well priced good stay
nice big place would be perfect for a big group. location is great, 5 minute drive to apollo bay. some cleaning and dishwashing products supplied and enough toilet paper to last the trip. if your staying a while I would consider bringing some more. was nice having lots of heating options as it was colder than we expected. best part would be all the birds that come to visit and the Koala who made himself at home in the tree out the back

David M - 22nd January 2021Our group of six had a lovely time at this property and exploring Apollo Bay, Marengo and the hinterland. Great beaches, beautiful rainforest. This property is a short walk to the beach. Marengo is a good escape from the busyness of the town and the rear deck was like being in the treetops. One minor quibble with the coffee pod machine - impossible to find the right size pods, but that was a very minor issue. Property is very well presented. Thanks very much.
Very comfortable stay in Marengo
Sean - 19th January 2021We have stayed at the house three times now. It is a very homely house and has a very spacious kitchen/living/dining room. The house is very clean and well stocked with everything you’d need for a family holiday. Hot water is continuous so no concerns with it running out. Location may be an issue for some as it’s a drive to Apollo Bay and the loss of the outside shower was disappointing. Not really suitable for more than one family, despite its size, as it only has the one toilet/bathroom.
Great house. Great location. We had more than enough room for 2 small families. Walking distance from the beach short drive to town and had everything we needed during our stay. The host was very easy to deal with. Thanks for a great stay

Daniel - 4th March 2019The house is freshly renovated and looks beautiful inside. Looks disappointing on the way in but save your judgement until you walk in the door. Great facilities/amenities (wifi, netflix, bedding, towels, outdoor shower, 3x air conditioners) make for a comfortable trip allowing us to enjoy the beautiful town and beaches without a worry. Would definitely return.
