Keeping alive the traditional Australian outdoor lifestyle of sun, surf and sand, The White House is much more than a renovated beach home, it is a commitment to space and recreation. The house sits on one of the most expansive parcels of ocean view property in South Lorne. Undulating from tall gums through luscious grassed zones and landscaped gardens to land finally on the most impressive tennis court. Its elevation and Northern alignment affords spectacular vistas from every corner of the property.
Not only does The White House nurture its original charm, it also showcases coastal interior styling at its best. From the pale watery palettes of sea green and shades of sand, to the earthy timbers, every last detail has been carefully considered. In every aspect of living the quality you would expect in your own home is provided. Three bedrooms upstairs flank the main lounge and kitchen dining area, all casting eyes over the impressive 4 x 12 metre silver ash deck. Separately accessed downstairs is a 4th bedroom, main bathroom and laundry. Key features include a suspended fireplace, top of the range beds and high comfort mattresses with luxurious bedlinen. Outdoors for your enjoyment are queen sized hammocks, recreational equipment, and an outdoor shower with a view.
A decision was made at The White House to reignite beauty rather than taking a far easier path towards building the next big thing. Hand in hand was a commitment to choose green space over footprint. Combined, these choices have resulted in much more than a spectacular holiday home, they have kept alive a Lorne tradition.

"It’s the little things that make a big difference.
We believe that comfort is the most important element for a fantastic holiday and have selected high-quality sofas, beds, linen and soft furnishings with this goal in mind. We are passionate about beautiful environments and as such have curated a beach house to love with indoor plants, images of Lorne and specially selected homewares.
Just bring a bag of clothes and a box of food because everything else is provided from beach towels to tennis racquets and balls, sporting equipment along with games and books inside. With fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms.
Thanks to the large land size, extensive gardens and lawns, and an absence of property fencing, expect a feeling of space and privacy where kangaroos visit daily along with families of kookaburras and koalas coming and going.
For your enjoyment, almost everything that’s within a home you can expect to find in generous supply. From organic body wash and ample soft bathroom towels to outdoor hammocks and cushions and an abundant herb garden for use.
Naturally scented laundry detergents and all the fun kitchen items you could want. Including tea, coffee, chai and hot chocolate, oil, herbs and spices, lots of wine glasses plus a bottle from our family winery in WA, for your drinking pleasure.

It is important to understand this property is a holiday rental, not a shared space or principle place of residence, which ensures you privacy and quiet enjoyment. It is also professionally managed, giving you peace of mind of 24/7 support by a local, just around the corner.
Pricing is based around seasons, length of stay and number of guests. It is important all bookings reflect the exact number of guests. If this changes, you must contact us. Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the published rates across all booking platforms, however Great Ocean Road Real Estate Holidays reserves the right to correct pricing errors.
Unless otherwise previously agreed, all stays must only be used for private residential usage and to accommodate the number of guests stated on your booking. Unless ‘Pets Welcome’ is advertised, the property is strictly no pets.
All holiday accommodation bookings are accepted on the basis that all occupants will treat the property with the same respect as their own home in accordance with the “House Rules”. Noise audible outside the property is prohibited between 10pm and 8am.

We had an amazing time at the White House I would think it is nearly the perfect holiday house for us. The care and consideration taken to bring this house back to a family holiday retreat is evident everywhere. The quality of the fixtures and fittings beautiful linen and extremely comfortable beds feather pillows on the couches plenty of soft towels and high quality hand soap - a fabulous kitchen to cook in and a great space for the whole family to chill out inside or out. For the children the wonderful outdoor space, which gave them a sense of total freedom, the tennis court and all the other outside games that were on hand. It was a delight to see them outside all the time and barely going near the electronic screens. Then there is that amazing view I do not think you could ever get sick of the wonder that is mother nature. There is already talk of a return trip. Thanks again to you and your team for the fantastic service.

We count ourselves fortunate to have spent time in this wonderful property. Ideally we would have liked to have kept its existence a secret. Sympathetically renovated it is at once both effortlessly stylish with its suspended fireplace , tasteful colour pallet , soft furnishings and also relaxing and homely. It is a testament to the owners that they have thought of every little detail to make the guests stay more enjoyable. From the fragrant soaps, soft bath towels ,luxurious linen and bed spreads right down to the bluetooth speaker, hammocks and tennis equipment this place has everything you need and nothing that you dont. The property is situated in the Lorne hinterland overlooking a well-manicured lawn a newly surfaced tennis court and views of Lorne beach. It is a fantastic place for summer and winter. And we will definitely be back again!

Sympathetically and beautifully renovated with its contemporary suspended fireplace it is at once effortlessly stylish and very homely. Its a real testament to the owners that they have thought of every little detail from the aromatic bathroom soaps,the soft towels,comfortable bedding right down to the little blue-tooth speaker! The property sits in a majestic position in the Lorne hinterland with unsurpassed views over a new tennis court and the Lorne beach. This is a property that would be great in summer or winter.
