Welcome to The Cliff's Edge, a beautifully presented 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom home right on the edge of the cliff at Fairhaven. Overlooking the long stretch of beach and coastline from Aireys Inlet to Lorne, the views are spectacular. A special house for a special occasion - suitable for families or couples. (Maximum 6 adults) Linen provided
Expansive outdoor decking with uninterrupted 180 degree ocean and beach views, outdoor furniture, and Bbq. Beautiful landscaped gardens with rockeries surround the house - Large open plan living, dining, kitchen area with views. WiFi, Tv, Dvd CD player - Dining for 8 people - Fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances including dishwasher and microwave - Did we mention the views!
Master bedroom with Queen size bed. En-suite with corner spa and ocean views! Second bedroom also with Queen size bed and ensuite with double shower. Third bedroom has 2x King single bunks. Main bathroom with shower, wc and vanity.

It is important to understand this property is a holiday rental, not a shared space or principle place of residence, which ensures you privacy and quiet enjoyment. It is also professionally managed, giving you peace of mind of 24 /7 support by a local, just around the corner.
Pricing is based around seasons, length of stay and number of guests. It is important all bookings reflect the exact number of guests. If this changes, you must contact us. Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the published rates across all booking platforms, however Great Ocean Road Real Estate Holidays reserves the right to correct pricing errors.
Unless otherwise previously agreed, all stays must only be used for private residential usage and to accommodate the number of guests stated on your booking. Unless ‘Pets Welcome’ is advertised, the property is strictly no pets.
All holiday accommodation bookings are accepted on the basis that all occupants will treat the property with the same respect as their own home in accordance with the “House Rules”. Noise audible outside the property is prohibited between 10pm and 8am.

Superb Beach Holiday House.
Ronald a - 12th March 2024This is a wonderful property set on the cliff with a magnificent view of the beach and it is easily accessible by walking from the beach or by road. Our family has rented this property at Easter or Labour Day weekends for 12 years or so and it has always been great. However this year it is even better in that the owners have repainted, trimmed, replaced appliances, bed coverings, TV etc. etc to make everything perfect. It is spotlessly clean with personal touches like herbs, floral arrangements

Heaven on Earth - more than just a “stay”
Jan S - 24th February 2023I was born in fairhaven in 1962 and my older sister in ‘56. She has alzheimers now but older memories are stronger memories and this trip, a 3 night, was something I’d planned for 12 months. I was a bit worried how she’d go, she was a bit anxious and restless the first afternoon/evening but then it was pure bliss. The long beach walks bookending our days with the tides out for both (blessed!) set the tone and being able to sit inside watching the surfers and waves was perfect for her. Bliss!

One bed did not have a top sheet, and some pillows were without pillow cases. Some bathroom repairs needed.
Ronald J - 14th March 2022We have been staying at the The Cliff's Edge for years, and enjoy staying at the house as well as the spectacular views. We were not inconvenienced by one toilet being broken. However I do feel there needs to be repairs to the showers. The door of the double shower does not close properly in the 2nd en suite, so the floor always becomes very wet. In the bathroom opposite the laundry, the shower appears to be leaking through the wall damaging the floor near the front door.

Yad H - 23rd May 2021hi there, it was great nice family home with breath taking 180 degree views. everything was great. only one thing needs attention is minor tradie works, i.e. front main entry gate is hard to open, a blind next to the bath-tub is broken, high window glass in the second bed room is cardboard, skating and floor at the lounge exit to the outside area and main stove in the kitchen have some issues. you can think about installing wall heater in kids room and change mattresses which are now too soft.

Helena P - 13th February 2021The home is beautiful. It just needs some love with maintenance. Weeds and garden beds overgrown. The BBQ was putrid so with COVID we didn't use it. The bathrooms really need new basins as there is limited space to place anything. The Queen Beds feel small and new linen would not go astray. There were cobwebs everywhere and spiders aplenty so the home needs a thorough clean. With this said the location is great and the views are what helps the stay enjoyable. Would we come back?...yes if clean
Family luxury
nina R - 17th January 2021This was our second time staying at the property and it really strikes the right balance in terms of luxury and family practicality. The view is breathtaking and worth every penny. The property is a little pricey but not crazy like some. The patrolled beach is a 6 minute walk away via a little pebbled path. This convenience cannot be denied. The ensuite could do with a modern update but other than that it’s absolutely perfect. Can’t wait until next year!
Pure Bliss
Bassi3 - 31st January 2019Its our second year in a row staying at this pristine property, and we only wish we could stay more often. An array of luxury beach holiday needs are catered for. The views are simply spectacular, we didnt want to leave the house. Its roomy and clean and well-appointed with all you need for a few weeks away. Its also very close to the beach - a 5 minute walk down an easy to navigate path - and located away from the road. All you can hear at night are the waves. The standard is very high. The 4 king-single bunk beds are most comfy, and one of the queen beds is ok. There is one queen bed that could be updated as its a bit soft for us, as we are used to sleeping on firmer beds. The only thing that could enhance the stay would be free wifi. Overall, its a glorious place to stay. Well be back again next year.

Babatunde - 23rd December 2017We had a great time at The Cliff's Edge. The sweeping panorama of Fairhaven surf beach was wonderful. It's just a short walk to a pristine beach. There's a large decking from which to enjoy the views or you can sit inside and stare through the floor to ceiling glass. The kitchen is well-equipped except that the toaster needs replacing. The furniture is comfortable. The dcor is tasteful. Some areas for improvement: the house was not clean. There were cobwebs everywhere including inside cupboards. The window seat cushions were covered in ants which were swarming over dead flies. The windows and outdoor areas also needed a clean. There were towels on the clothesline covered in cobwebs, clearly from the last guests' stay. There was no internet. The one window with flyscreen to allow for ventilation was locked and no key was provided hence the place smelled musty when we arrived. Only one key to the property was provided. There were no toiletries which is a bit mean given that it's in a high price bracket. We paid $700 per night, outside the high season, and I think for that money we should have been able to expect a clean property that has internet. The lack of cleanliness was mentioned by the one other reviewer which makes me question whether anyone at Great Ocean Road Rentals, or the owner/s, read the reviews. In summary, great property that needs cleaning and internet.

McNamara - 28th November 2017Great location with lovely views but it felt like the whole property needed a good clean. The bed in the main room squeaked when you rolled over. Would have been nice if these things could have been provided, batteries for remotes(Foxtel and DVD) some basic toiletries as no soap was provided at all, tea bags and a descent coffee machine. The toaster needs to be replaced.
