It is important to understand this property is a holiday rental, not a shared space or principle place of residence, which ensures you privacy and quiet enjoyment. It is also professionally managed, giving you peace of mind of 24/7 support by a local, just around the corner.
Pricing is based around seasons, length of stay and number of guests. It is important all bookings reflect the exact number of guests. If this changes, you must contact us. Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the published rates across all booking platforms, however Great Ocean Road Real Estate Holidays reserves the right to correct pricing errors.
Unless otherwise previously agreed, all stays must only be used for private residential usage and to accommodate the number of guests stated on your booking. Unless ‘Pets Welcome’ is advertised, the property is strictly no pets.
All holiday accommodation bookings are accepted on the basis that all occupants will treat the property with the same respect as their own home in accordance with the “House Rules”. Noise audible outside the property is prohibited between 10pm and 8am.

Nice views but freezing
Tim M - 22nd July 2024Beautiful living area and views with a wood heater. Downstairs has no heating so it's freezing in winter. No linen or towels provided which isn't mentioned in the accomodation guide. Had to pay $44 for linen and towels and then they forgot the bath towels. Went home 1 day early as we couldn't bear another night in the freezing cold bedroom.

However, I am very sorry to learn about the issues you faced during your stay. I apologize for the lack of heating downstairs and for any discomfort this may have caused. Did you contact us regarding no heating downstairs? We could have arranged to get some other type of heating there. We will address this concern to improve the comfort of our accommodations. Additionally, I apologize for the oversight regarding the provision of linen and towels. Linen is not provided at every property, and for this property, the BYO linen policy is stated on the website in four different spots, as well as in the email sent out before arrival. Regarding the inconvenience of the missing bath towels, I understand how frustrating this must have been. Did you contact the hire company to say the bath towels were missing? I'm sure they would have brought some around. We strive to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all our guests, and I am sorry we fell short during your visit. This home is a few minutes drive from the main part of Lorne, but well situated on the side of the hill, with spectacular views of the ocean and beach. The house is well designed, with lots of windows so that the views of the sea, and the surrounding bush, can be seen easily, and the house is light and airy. The bedrooms are downstairs, where there is no heating, and so these rooms are very cold in cooler weather. The owners have provided fan heaters, but they are very noisy and provide an uneconomical and stuffy heat. There is a wall heater and wood heater upstairs. The beds are very hard and uncomfortable. You have to provide your own linen and towels, which is not immediately obvious on first examination of the listing.

Nice spot amongst the trees and cockies. We had to drive to town was hoping to walk with pram but hills were full on, very steep. Lorne’s the best spot our eldest daughter learnt to surf ...quite safe for little ones. Plus everything is in town you need...

We stayed here with friends for a two week relaxing summer break, and it was perfect. The view is incredible and the children loved the kangaroos and visiting birds!
Beautiful property

We weren't expecting the tame cockies and parrots that joined us sitting outside on the deck. Beds were comfortable and the house spacious for our small family of 5. It's quite steep on the driveway and the road up to the property even with my 4wd and exiting the driveway is a task! Other than the narrow streets leading to the property and the steep slopes the property is great and we enjoyed our stay
The views from this Lorne property will never disappoint. If you are looking for a winter beach getaway within walking distance of sea and bush look no further.
Perfect Location!
Julia - 2nd April 2020This place was the perfect location to hosts 8 girlfriends for a weekend away. The open plan kitchen/living/dining was perfect for long chats and the kitchen was ideal for whipping up a big breakfast. Having two toilets was also convenient. Unfortunately the weather was a bit wet, so didnt utilise the deck, but still enjoyed the beautiful views. Incredibly good value, would stay again!
