It is important to understand this property is a holiday rental, not a shared space or principle place of residence, which ensures you privacy and quiet enjoyment. It is also professionally managed, giving you peace of mind of 24/7 support by a local, just around the corner.
Pricing is based around seasons, length of stay and number of guests. It is important all bookings reflect the exact number of guests. If this changes, you must contact us. Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the published rates across all booking platforms, however Great Ocean Road Real Estate Holidays reserves the right to correct pricing errors.
Unless otherwise previously agreed, all stays must only be used for private residential usage and to accommodate the number of guests stated on your booking. Unless ‘Pets Welcome’ is advertised, the property is strictly no pets.
All holiday accommodation bookings are accepted on the basis that all occupants will treat the property with the same respect as their own home in accordance with the “House Rules”. Noise audible outside the property is prohibited between 10pm and 8am.

Great view
Maureen C - 20th May 2024Enjoyed the beautiful views from this house and spacious living area. Needed more details of where to park car as cannot access from front. Keys didn’t work but sent person straight away to rectify the situation. Kitchen needed more crockery especially bowls. We enjoyed our stay in this property.

Julie G - 25th April 2024Nice old fashioned place. Wrong information advertised. Photos show a double bed and a single bed in one room and the bunks were advertised as tri not single. We paid and booked before we realised it was incorrect. Most essentials were supplied (no sugar). The information booklet needs to be updated to suit this property. Also, advertised as pay two nights and get the third free except long weekends. This was not a long weekend as Friday is not a public holiday.

Beautiful views and comfortable
Heather M - 24th January 2022Great location away from the business of town. Ten min walk to the beach. Loved the large open plan layout of the house. Clean and comfortable. All the basic kitchen stuff provided. Beautiful views from the shadey balcony.

Really nice place to stay
Great place to stay, fairly priced and super clean. Beds are comfy and is very homely. Plenty to do around the area including waterfalls, local beach, pier, eating out....and more! The locals love to visit - As in kookaburras, king parrots and cockatoos and are very friendly if you enjoy their company.
Beautiful view of the ocean and lovely deck! Retro but comfortable rooms, great shower and kitchen has all the basic amenities. Would happily stay here again.

Bill - 21st January 2019We have stayed here for 10 days or so for the same time in January for the past 10 years. It's a great place to relax. It has plenty of space and most essentials. It's the perfect distance from town, a nice walk but not too close.

Bill - 22nd January 2018I have booked the Retro Retreat for the same time for the past 9 years. It has a great view, lots of space and its retro feel is part of the charm. I'm not a five star hotel person, and the property has everything I and my family want or need (since adding a good BBQ about 6 years ago). I book it for a week over summer. It is old, and like most Lorne properties, about 300 meters up a hill. Overall, we love it. It has a great balcony, with a view across the bay and to the pier and there is generally plenty of cockatoos and kookaburras.
