Could be better.

We (2 people) stayed here for two weeks with our pet dog. Pros: - on arrival the house was neat and tidy. - the bed was comfy. - conveniently located to shops and main beach. - quiet, in particular, no noise from the nightly carnival on the foreshore. - air con. Cons: - very small block surrounded by two story houses, so a bit claustrophobic at times; this was not clear at all on the photos of the property. - clean but could have been cleaner, quite a few dusty surfaces that obviously hadn't been cleaned in weeks or months and there was some very dirty kids play equipment just plonked in front of the verandah that we had to move. - the guttering overflowed when it rained and made three-quarters of the verandah unusable. - small house(really a unit) that would be crowded with more than 2 adults. - BBQ was rusty and needed cleaning, couldn't use it. - no wi-fi (21st century folks!). - water tasted a bit odd, although this may be Apollo Bay in general. - a standing fan to circulate air through the rooms would have been handy. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Just be aware that the property is enclosed and small. Might be a bit overpriced for such a property this size.

Nice stay

Great location was quiet but only a short walk to shops or beach. The lovely tree in the back yard was fabulous on hot days. Dog loved it when he couldn't come to the beach. (BTW the house did not smell at all of animals - nice change to some "pet friendly" accom we've stayed in before.) House not completely clean on arrival, but acceptable. Liked the fact that some cleaning products were left for us. This thoughtfulness was repeated in several small ways and it made us appreciate the landlord's efforts. Our stay from Boxing Day was probably the first of the season and so the rooms were a bit stale on arrival - nothing an open window didn't fix in 10 minutes. (Unfortunately the agent didn't offer us early check in even though we asked!) Some lack of general maintenance was evident: had to clean the gutters of leaves to prevent rainwater overflow onto main deck when raining and A/C fan blades were fouling shrouding which prevented the unit from operating at full performance.
