Otway Vista 12

Beautiful house with a beautiful view.

We really enjoyed our stay at Otway Vista 12 during our trip to the Great Ocean Road. The house was bigger than expected with so much space and an amazing view out the back. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and the living/dining was well equipped. Would definitely come back.

Needs Updating

At first sight this property looks ok. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a nice living/dining area. BUT there is no WIFI. If a property doesn't have WIFI it should be noted in the description. There were also no tea towels and some dishes weren't 100 percent clean. For linen, we had to pick up a massive laundry bag from the property office with what appeared to be hospital sheets. Sorry but for 300 a night, we won't be returning.

Quiet, comfortable and convenient for the delights of the Great Ocean Road

This is a very comfortable place to stay. We loved relaxing in front of the fire on chilly nights. It is just a 10 minute walk into town and the beach, so very convenient to everything. The kitchen was well-equipped. Highly recommend and hope to stay again.

Great Quiet Location

We liked the location in a quiet location backing onto fields, easy for us to walk to the shops however if you have a young family it would be a drive. The beds were comfy and the back deck was great.

Comfortable but disappointing

Our time at Apollo Bay was enjoyable but unfortunately we were disappointed with the accommodation. The property itself needs some work, it didn’t feel as though it had been thoroughly cleaned and small things like extra garbage bags and two tea towels would have been great. The beds need updating as they were extremely uncomfortable. Many windows had missing fly wire screens and the fly wire door in the living room was also missing, not helpful with the volume of flies inside the house.

Needs some love

Nice layout comfy beds but needs some love . Wood work in bathroom rotting so gives a nasty musty smell particularly to the master bedroom .Had everything you needed but would certainly benefit from a good clean that’s for sure . Lovely outlook from the back of hills but positioned in a strange little enclave of similar houses that are in various states of disrepair . Don’t think l would stay again

Home away from home

Lovely house with a gorgeous view out to farmland at the back. The kitchen was like being at home as it was so well equipped. Everything you would need for the beach including boogy boards, bucket and spades, beach cricket, beach chairs. Rooms are spacious and there is plenty of wood for the fire, air-conditioning as well which you need when the afternoon sun comes in. Only downer was the awful BBQ which looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a long time. Overall a delightful place to stay.

Loved this house!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The house was so well equipped, very comfortable beds and stunning views of the Otways from the back. It was a lovely quiet area but still walking distance into town. An added bonus was the indoor pool at the end of the street and Inflatable land next door-perfect for 2 rainy days! I loved the vaulted ceilings and the coonara made it very cosy. Would definitely stay again!

Comfortable and relaxing

Otway Vista 12 was a lovely place to stay. Comfortable and clean with plenty of wood to light the fire to stay warm and cozy. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms clean. The kitchen has plenty of amenities for making meals at home, but town is a short drive or walk for a great brunch, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner. The neighbours were also very friendly - would stay again.

Lovely private property in a quiet court, lovely to see the cows (and foxes) wander past. The fire was great on the chilly nights. Would stay again

Great Views & Location

Had a fantastic getaway for 4 nights would highly recommend. 10 min walk to beach & Main Street. House had everything you will need even chairs for the beach. Outside deck was great to relax & read a book - bed comfy - great views from living area as per pictures Would definitely stay here again.

A comfortable property in a quiet setting. Recommended.

This was a cosy stay and had an enjoyable time. The place could do with some TLC especially in both bathrooms and a smell from the main bathroom required the door to be closed to the rest of the house when not in use. Unfortunately the next door neighbour has a wind chime that sounds like glass clashing and with the very windy environment this was very noisy at night (they were not there to discuss this with). Couch and beds were comfortable, kitchen was clean and had a lot of cooking items and the wardrobes provided a lot of space in bedrooms. Foxtel was great to have as no Wifi to utilise the smart TV.

We enjoyed the quiet location and country view. Great place for a family to unwind after the days adventures.

Nice and cosy place, worth a visit for families, not too expensive. Apollo Bay itself is worth visiting, with a nice beach and good hiking tracks.

We had a lovely stay at this holiday home. Unfortunately the property had not been cleaned properly when we arrived, which gave a bad first impression. The initial cleanliness aside, the property was in a lovely location with lots of birds and cows coming past regularly, the kitchen was well equipped and it was perfect for a week away!

Great views and good location

Enjoyed our weekend. Great to have a fire place! Nice aspect across farmland. Good simple family accommodation with everything you need.

Was a lovely space to have our family in. Room for young kids, thoroughly kitted out kitchen, quick access to town and beautiful view from the living space.

A Home Away From Home

“Can we live here?” Is what our 6yo asked us on our last day at this house. It’s only 2min from the beach & it felt like home from the moment we arrived. The bedrooms were all extremely comfortable, especially the master bedroom with its spacious layout and vaulted ceiling. The kitchen is very well equipped, with every cooking gadget you could hope for. The dining room is set up with a beautiful view over green paddocks, we loved watching the cows walk by and the birds poke around the backyard.

Great Location, quiet street with picturesque backdrop but still a short walk to Main Street shops and beach.

Maintenance required

Unfortunately the house just wasnt kept well enough..loads of dead insects and regular spiders coming in. would be great if cleaned up a little

Cute little Shack

Was very happy with this place. Had all we needed for a few days away. The house was clean and well equipped with very comfortable furniture and bedding. Would happily re book. The outdoor area needs a little maintenance, it was a shame we couldn't fully enjoy that beautiful view.

Needs some work

Great view. Beds were comfortable and homely place. Dire need for maintenance. Inside had smelt like a smoker's house. Mould left in ensuite shower and sink and some of the dishes were put away dirty.

Lovely outlook

First impression would be improved if the strip of garden and big planter pots flanking the door were weeded. Place looked neglected. Information booklet had no information except a warning about re-tuning the TV. No instructions on how to access Foxtel and no list of available channels. No hint that you had to use wall switches to get power to the stove and hotplates and no hint that these were hidden behind the microwave. However, view from back windows was lovely, the position was quiet, the beds were comfortable, and the shower good (though leaving the remains of a broken towel rail adds to the feeling of neglect).

Property great layout and in a really quiet spot with lovely outlook. Needs a really good clean and urgent gutter fix
