There is plenty to love about Oceans on Charles. Location is for starters. Far enough away from the hum of the main drag yet close enough to easily slip down for the morning paper and a latte. Character is for seconds, and Charles has it in spades.
The house itself spills its way down the hillside in variety of directions, all stemming from a spacious main living zone and all encased by terraced gardens and paths. Functionality comes next. Everything you need for a simple beach holiday is catered for.
Multiple indoor and outdoor entertaining areas, clean crisp sleeping quarters and fully equipped kitchen. Charles has been recently renovated to bring in into the now, and while there are a few legacy items, check out the funky bathroom downstairs, for the most part, Charles has had a full makeover.
Start from the top, literally. The entrance off John street accesses the high side of the home and whilst it is one of the more challenging driveways in Lorne (not suitable for some vehicles/drivers), can easily accommodate a couple of cars.
Entering the home on this level is both the fully en-suited master bedroom and the second living room / kids retreat. Serving as much as a 5th bedroom as second living, this room features its own balcony, TV, bean bag sand kitchenette. Descending the main stairwell lands you right in the action. Open plan living, spacious kitchen, dining and lounge under lofted ceiling and taking in north facing views. Flanked by 3 more tastefully furnished bedrooms and main bathroom this space will bring everyone together in celebration of a great beach holiday.
Charles is far from pretentious. he home is warm and comfortable and allows guests to come together or find space apart. Other features include wall mounted 50 plasma TV, PlayStation, outdoor shower and gas BBQ. For a simple home in a cracking location, look no further.

Pricing is based around seasons, length of stay and number of guests. It is important all bookings reflect the exact number of guests. If this changes, you must contact us. Unless otherwise previously agreed, all stays must only be used for private residential usage and to accommodate the number of guests stated on your booking. Unless ‘Pets Welcome’ is advertised, the property is strictly no pets.
All holiday accommodation bookings are accepted on the basis that all occupants will treat the property with the same respect as their own home in accordance with the “House Rules”. Noise audible outside the property is prohibited between 10pm and 8am.

Great home but a few minor issuesColin - 21st January 2019
We were a family of 9 with grown children and husbands - no young children. The house was very comfortable and slept the 9 of us with no problem. The location is excellent - not far from the shops and not too far up the hill to make walking back hard. The house was clean and had plenty of living space in the kitchen/dining and living areas. Two issues - 1. There were no instructions on how anything worked and we therefore could not get the oven and grill to work. 2. there was no outside umbrella which made sitting on the deck virtually impossible in the afternoon when there is full sun. It would also have been nice to access wifi, but not critical.

The house was perfectly located with a short stroll to the beach and shops. Clean and tidy and suitable for a group of couples with separate rooms. Very much enjoyed our stay here!

We all enjoyed our stay at Oceans On Charles. The location of the property was easy walking distance from the town centre. The property was clean, spacious with scenic views of the water.
