Description
Welcome to Myrtle Cottage - a family friendly, centrally located, comfortable, affordable 3 bedroom beach house on a quiet cul de sac. We are also pet friendly, however please be aware that the property isn't securely fenced for your furry family member.
Leave the car at home and walk everywhere in the Airey's Inlet surrounds including: shops, restaurants, cafes, pub and the Alan Noble Sanctuary.
A walkway at the end of the street provides easy access to the Cliff Top Walk taking you to the lighthouse, and the gorgeous cove beaches - Sandy Gully and Steppe Beach.
Sleeping configuration is:
Bedroom 1 : queen bed
Bedroom 2 : tri-bunk (double on bottom, single on top)
Bedroom 3 : two single beds
A portable crib and board games are also available.
Shampoo, conditioner, soap and sunscreen is supplied.
Linen not provided - Hire service available
Strict No Party Policy (schoolies, hens, bucks etc)

It is important to understand this property is a holiday rental, not a shared space or principle place of residence, which ensures you privacy and quiet enjoyment. It is also professionally managed, giving you peace of mind of 24/7 support by a local, just around the corner.
Pricing is based around seasons, length of stay and number of guests. It is important all bookings reflect the exact number of guests. If this changes, you must contact us. Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the published rates across all booking platforms, however Great Ocean Road Real Estate Holidays reserves the right to correct pricing errors.
Unless otherwise previously agreed, all stays must only be used for private residential usage and to accommodate the number of guests stated on your booking. Unless ‘Pets Welcome’ is advertised, the property is strictly no pets.
All holiday accommodation bookings are accepted on the basis that all occupants will treat the property with the same respect as their own home in accordance with the “House Rules”. Noise audible outside the property is prohibited between 10pm and 8am.

olivia s - 3rd May 2022Great location for beaches, cliff walk and restaurants. Clean comfortable house. Private deck at back. Mod cons such as dishwasher, Xbox and robo vacuum.
We had a lovely week at the house but as described, it is definitely a little basic. Great position and comfortable to stay in but we didn’t find it overly clean-felt like we were staying in someone’s home with cobwebs and general dirt around windowsills etc, rather than a holiday rental. Kitchen cupboards were cluttered leaving little room for our own food items. We did get used to it though and appreciated its charms and retro feel.
Cottage by the sea

Have to say it might be good to get it restumped at some point, you get used to it but disturbing at first. Overall loved the stay and the lovely cocky's and King Parrott that visit for a feed!
Near and tidy spot to stay, like a little vintage time capsule as the decor, crockery, stove, saucepans, styling, etc is very vintage in nature. Great location for walks to the lighthouse and along the cliff-line. Linen isn’t included, but plenty of doonas, blankets, and heaters were provided.
This shack is in an amazing position with beautiful walks to the clifftops high above the beach and the stunning ocean. Also has the pub literally at the end of the street and the amazing A La Grecque restaurant only a block away and then the general store and cafe only another block. The house feels like something from my childhood, enjoying summer holidays with family at the shack. All the amenities you could want plus a lovely natural backyard. Thanks for having us for the weekend!
A lovely simple house in a great location for a relaxing stay
Comfortable Beach Shack
Douglas - 18th February 2020Myrtle cottage is situated in a quiet street close to shops and pub. However the beach is over 700m away or approx 3/4 minutes by car. The house is comfortable and cozy - the beds are Good and the open plan sitting and dining is bright and airy. Unfortunately the weather did not give us the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors - although the cliff top walk ( just a few minutes access) is spectacular towards the Lighthouse. Outdoor setting very rustic and not appealing to enjoy. Better than 3 stars but just could not reach a four star level. Ample room for 6 persons but with one separate toilet and one wash room could be pushing the boundaries of friendship.

tarsh75 - 30th September 2019Had a relaxed time. The house was clean but the sofas ad cushions were grubby. One sofa had peeling vinyl with lots sand in it dusty blankets ontop. Other wise enjoyable stay.

Perfect location for a family catchup

Three generations walked to the lighthouse,the beach, the bakery, the gallery, and the pub and chilled out on the ample couches and the peaceful deck. Looking forward to coming back soon.
