We went to bed a family of four, but by morning our numbers had swelled to seven with the arrival of a koala and two kookaburras that were obviously known to management. The elderly koala eyeballing us through the kitchen window was unfussed by the squealing excitement of two preschoolers; the kookaburras flew at a plate of food like a couple of landlords collecting the rent. Morley, a house overlooking Wye River with a balcony the size of an inner-city terrace, sure knows how to put the icing on the getaway cake

We loved our stay at Morley Beach house and would highly recommend this holiday home. North facing, magnificent views, Koalas abound, hand feed king parrots, sulphur crested cockatoos and kookaburras. Great fishing. Superbly fitted out kitchen & beautiful shower in the modern bathroom (we were grateful for the second toilet too) We loved sleeping to the sound of the ocean and waking up to the sight of the sun on the water. What a view! This property is a very special place in a very special environment. We can't wait to return.

Pricing is based around seasons, length of stay and number of guests. It is important all bookings reflect the exact number of guests. If this changes, you must contact us. Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the published rates across all booking platforms, however Great Ocean Road Real Estate Holidays reserves the right to correct pricing errors.
Unless otherwise previously agreed, all stays must only be used for private residential usage and to accommodate the number of guests stated on your booking. Unless ‘Pets Welcome’ is advertised, the property is strictly no pets.
All holiday accommodation bookings are accepted on the basis that all occupants will treat the property with the same respect as their own home in accordance with the “House Rules” . Noise audible outside the property is prohibited between 10pm and 8am.

Belinda Henderson - 19th October 2021The best view on the best deck in Wye! Such a wonderful house to enjoy every aspect Wye River has to offer. Once you get all your gear up to the house you wont want to leave. We spent two nights with four adults and one 5 year old and loved every minute. The house is clean and has everything you could wish for in the kitchen if you're a foodie like me. A great log fire that warmed the whole house in chilly days and nights. Comfy beds. Our favourite stay is Morley now!

Our family used to have a house on the other side of Wye, and I used to live there for awhile whilst studying university/working at the pub. I am a member of Wye CFA and spent Christmas/new years fighting the fires that burnt some of the town. Unfortunately coming back to Wye is a little traumatic at times still but I am still so in love with the town. I have a lot of friends on the Morley side of wye but have never rented/lived there. LOVED IT!
Perfection
CATS - 2nd January 2020We stayed for two nights but will be back for many more. Morely is idyllic and the view breathtaking. The home is comfortable and very well equipped. It is in a beautiful location close to beach, shops and hotel. Importantly for us (as we have 2 British Bulldogs) on top of everything else it offers, it has ducted aircondtiioning. So no need to panic if you cop super hot weather. Due to the steepness of the drive I would only want to park one car there, but that is such a small price to pay, when you land on that deck, and see the magnificent view. And a big thank you to Great Ocean Road rentals staff who were wonderful in assisting with our booking. Can't wait to come back!
Plenty of space
Sven - 16th October 2019Excellent location on the Great Ocean Road as very central. Allows you to split the drive north or south but remain in one place. Plenty of space and everybody in our group loved the large deck overlooking the ocean and seeing the sunrise. Dogs enjoyed it as short walk to beach and lounging around on the deck. Just be aware of the steep driveway and tight turn.
Beachside bliss
Caroline - 18th January 2019Our family of 4 have just had a wonderful time at this great beach house. Its perfectly located to be close enough to walk to the beach, General Store and Pub but far enough to feel you truly are away from it all. The road uphill is enough to raise the heart rate but not produce a sweat. The deck is enormous and has the most spectacular views. We spent most evenings there enjoying the bbq or comfy seating area with a few board games or book all whilst enjoying the endless ocean views. Cockatoos and Kookaburras often came to visit ... one cheeky Kookaburra even stole some steak off our plate! The house is very comfortable and is very well equipped. The main bed is very firm which may not suit everyone but having the linen provided was great. The air con was very efficient and was great on the super hot days. The WiFi was very sporadic and so I wouldnt rely on it for streaming Netflix etc., but with the views from the deck you really dont need any tv. We had a minor plumbing issue during our stay but it was dealt with very efficiently within a couple of hours. We absolutely loved our stay at 22 Morley and are already planning our next visit.
Completely uninterrupted view!
Sally - 30th November 2018Our family of four had a wonderful time in this comfy beach house. It has a huge deck with an ever changing, completely uninterrupted view. We could watch the moon rise, crystal clear water, big open skies and the whole beach. Even better- the deck is private with no overlooking from neighbours. A koala crossed the road right in front of the house and we watched an echidna digging around next to the bottom step! And the deck attracts a variety of birds every day. The location is perfect- very quiet but close enough to the General Store and Wye river pub. There is also a cosy fire and the photos of the house accurately portray the accommodation. Great to have linen and towels provided, the kitchen is well equiped and there is a barbecue on the deck. We would certainly return for another stay in future.

Louise - 4th June 2018Number 1 - THE VIEW The view does not disappoint. Number 2 - THE VIEW The view just keeps on giving, morning afternoon and night! I could have stared out at the rolling waves, never ending sky and beautiful native wildlife forever!! Just stunning! Number 3 -THE LOCATION Here we have the perfect combination of a totally secluded treetop feel with the convenience of being extremely close to the local pub and General Store - both of which are a must while you stay! My husband and I eat out regularly in Melbourne CBD and were very satisfied with our pub dinners and very impressed with our General Store brunchs ( ) . Its also very close to a lovely walk on Paddys trail into Separation Creek! Walk back along the beach at low tide and treat yourself to some gorgeous rock pool formations! Number 4 - THE DESTINATION- Wye Rive is located in between Lorne and Apollo Bay, making it a great base should you wish to cherry pick all the delights the Great Ocean Road has to offer in bite size outings! Number 5 - THE HOUSE - Quintessential beach pad. Beautifully clean and well equipped for entertaining or relaxing. The wood surroundings are rustic and welcoming. The wood fire just seals the deal on this place as when the weather closes in, you can just stoke the fire and watch the storm roll in feeling super toasty and warm. Number 6- THE AMENITIES - The linen and towels are all high quality, the master bed was plush and very comfortable (the fact you can hear the waves crashing from the bedroom in the morning made it all the more relaxing). Modern bathroom, kitchen and fast wifi meant we had all our creature comforts tended to!
