no gas

the place was great for 14 guests (8 adults, 6 children) but running out of gas on the BBQ after 5 minutes cooking put a real dampener on the night. it turns out we're expected to drive into town to replace the gas bottle. try cooking a BBQ for 14 people on 2 small fry pans in the kitchen. bloody ridiculous. You pay good money for this accommodation, these sort of things shouldn't happen. how about supplying a spare bottle on site. It's not rocket science.

Highly Recommend

When we walked into this property and it was spotlessly clean and there was a lovely welcoming note, together with a box of chocolate and lovely bottle of wine. The house was exactly as advertised with plenty of crockery, cooking utensils and room to cater for our group of 15. The sea views fantastic. The bedrooms were spacious and beds very comfortable. We did have one issue which the Real Estate Agent and Owners were only too happy to work with us to rectify.

Fantastic Family Friendly House

Four families spanning 3 generations, this was the perfect spot. So much room, but cosy and comfortable. Space for teenagers, a deck for wine and views. A truly magnificent house was even more than we expected. Perfectly equipped in every thoughtful way.

We stayed around 16 people very comfortably. It’s spacious and clean. Lot of games to play esp to keep kids busy.

Wonderful Large House

We really enjoyed our stay at Mirimar. The house is lovely with looks a special touches - would definitely recommend as a place to stay in Skenes Creek.

Nice place, price is becoming less reasonable.

When we first came here a few years ago, the costs were closer to half what they are now, with little improvement to justify it. However, the place is clean, spacious and the beds are comfortable, and the ammenities are more than adequate. Things we would like to see: - Labels on drawers in kitchen - Labels on stove top knobs - Better hot water heater. The hot water system can barely cope with 2 short showers back to back. - Wifi PW on a laminated card on fridge? - Sharp knives?

everybody enjoyed the accommodation, inspite of a bit of rain the kids had a lot of fun.

We found the house to be very roomy allowing us all to rattle around at will, the beds were comfortable and the views from the balcony quite special. I suppose the only gripe was the main T V not working after the first day. T V man said it was atmospherics but the set never did get a picture again. If we were to stay in the area again we certainly would book the house again, however the family may want to go to east gippsland next year. Thanks to the staff for their courteous assistance.

Perfect spot for a big group of people/families, excellent location and enough space for everyone. There are literally no basics at this property however, luckily we had packed toilet paper but not even any salt/pepper, or basic cleaning items ie. dishwashing liquid, washing powder or toilet cleaner at the property. We had to keep making trips to the supermarket to get very basic items which in my opinion should be included.

Perfect house for a large group or family to enjoy some quality time and explore the surrounds. Close to beach and Apollo Bay and it has lovely views of the ocean.

Absolutely loved this place. Plenty of room for many families to stay. Beautiful views of the beach and short walk to the beach. Will definitely be back again.

It is a great house for large family holiday or if you just want lots of space. All essentials are there. Beautiful views. The family love staying here.

Perfect place for multiple families- only heads up would be to be cautious with hot water as can take a while to reheat when empty!

This place will be the ideal place if a group of friends stay over night. They provide everything you need in a basic level. Such a good place with nice views. Recommended !!!

This is a great house. Plenty of space and gorgeous views of the ocean. Just a short stroll to the beach or a short drive to Apollo Bay. It was well managed - communication was clear and everything was as advertised. We had a wonderful time!

Perfect Family Space

The house was even better in reality than in the photos. It was super clean, the beds were really comfy and the views were amazing. So many cool features - we loved the deck - always a sunny spot to be found. Great Ocean Road Real Estate went above and beyond in every way - even recovering some important items we left behind. We will re-book again in the future.

Perfect for our large family

The house was well presented, clean, and we had a fabulous time! It was perfect for our large family group. The deck and beautiful view, and spaciousness of the house made our stay really enjoyable. Also very well located.

Loved it!

This house was perfect for our large family group of 16 people. It was spacious, the deck and views from upstairs were beautiful, and the two living areas provided plenty of space for everyone to relax and play games. Highly recommend this house for location and large groups.

Large house with stunning ocean view

There were 6 adults and 5 children that stayed on the house. Plenty of comfortable beds for everyone. It was great having a separate kitchen, bathroom and loungeroom downstairs because it meant that the kids could all stay downstairs and make their own breakfast and watch tv without waking up the rest of the house at 6am. As the house is quite old, it had a strong, musty smell on arrival but this dissipated once it was aired out. An impressive view of the ocean from the upstairs kitchen and living room. The fire upstairs heated the top level amazingly well. Some blinds and a new curtain for the downstairs kitchen/living room would help to keep the heat in better on the ground level. The pool table was perfect to help keep the kids entertained, and the short stroll to the beach was fantastic. The caravan park cafe on the beach sells coffee and milk and other bits and pieces, which was handy. Overall, the house was perfect for the 11 of us, and we really enjoyed our stay.

The house is awesome! LOVED IT! Super clean and tidy, bedding was so crisp and clean! s Brilliant location and amenities awesome! Only feedback is the cook top upstairs is not amazing! so made cooking particularly challenging. Look forward to staying again in the future!

Very disappointing NO tea coffee toilet paper or dishwasher detergent. Basic conveniences for your house guests. I rang agent and was told these items don't need to be supplied. Very poor.

Beautiful views with lots of room.

A great place for families and friends to gather together. It had everything we needed, great kitchen and views, very comfortable and relaxing. Good size bedrooms. Caters well for adults and children. Easy walk to beach and bush. Great place to get away from it all but still close to Apollo Bay.

Nice beach view

Such a nice place for big group we realy enjoy a lot with friend.

Great house except for insufficient hot water

We love the design and decor of the place. Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. It has complete kitchen facilities but pots and pans not so clean. Also, Cleaning liquid is not enough & no garbage bag. We love fire place but overall heating system not so good. The most difficult issue Is insufficient hot water in shower; Quite a challenge for big group.

Beautiful view!

Beautiful view for a big house accommodated our large group of friends. Adult enjoy the chatting in the big, stunning view kitchen, while kids engage in playing all kinds of games downstairs. In the morning, several cockatoos always stood on the balcony, waiting for being fed, adding another unexpected activity for the holiday (haha). Skenes Creek is 6-8 minutes drive distance from Apollo Bay, giving us convenience for shopping, also keep living area nice and quiet. Beach off the Great Ocean Road brought a lot of fun for kids. Plenty fishing spots enabled us having fish dinner three nights in a raw! Rock fish, Whiting, and Salmon, you name it! House is not new, but comfortable enough. Upgraded kitchen and bathroom are quite impressive. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and recommend to anyone who wants to spend few days close to the beach.
