Excellent view and location. Can't complain about that. The place itself is pretty tired and could use a refresh.

Amazing view and location

Located a 3 minute drive from the central point of Lorne we couldn’t argue with it. The driveway in wet seasons is extremely dangerous and needs some attention, almost lost control of my car on a few occasion as the tracks slip, burn tyres and slide backward. With no other safe parking available I do believe it needs some attention.

Great Location

We had a great few days staying at Magnum. The location is close to the beach and it's a flat walk in to town. The house is spacious and well equipped and it catered for our family of young adults and a dog very well. We would definitely stay here again.

January stay

My family have stayed in this house for many years. Perfect location and great for 2 families. It is however looking tired. 2 beds have springs coming out of mattresses, paint is missing around windows and there are holes in the walls. We had to thoroughly clean the house on arrival as it was not clean at all. Also lots of mould around windows and stains on furniture. Would love to stay again, however for the price we pay, it needs to have an update

Amazing house with beautiful views. Kitchen well stocked with utensils etc. Great location and comfortable. No linen really means no linen, so bring hand towels, tea towels the works.

good: - Close to ocean (not a sandy beach though, it's rocky down there, good for walking) - Spacious - Rather clean - Good view to the Ocean from balcony and large windows. - It has AIR CON in the living room (upstairs) despite the listing said it didn't. Bad: - The floors are super noisy. someone walks upstairs everybody wakes up downstairs. Even upstairs toilet wall-flush makes the next room super noisy. Stairs are super noisy too. Generally a super noisy house. - Entrance drive way is a bit scary, too steep and narrow. - check in/out key delivery is through a realstate office in Lorne, which needs additional 2-3 km drive. Overall we enjoyed our trip with friends and family.

Enjoyed our stay , fireplace was great on a chilly night and a nice beach walk into town from the house . Relaxing short stay with our family.

Returned for 6 year. Great location and lovely views. Well maintained property. Great that stove has been replaced. Perhaps next year the sofas could be replaced? Always look forward to our stay.

Great living space, good location

Great for a bigger group, really good living area with an amazing view. Only 5min drive to town and easy beach walks right at your doorstep. Only slight annoyance is if you are using all four bedrooms, the downstairs bathroom can only be accessed by going through someone else room. Other than that, great space. Well stocked kitchen.

It's a perfect getaway!

We had a wonderful time away staying at this place. Its pet friendly. Allowing our cat to stay indoor with us. Its clean, close proximity to the beach that you can hear the waves but also away from the main street, perfect distance to the shops (5 minutes drive). Overall its a perfect getaway, will definitely be back if we are ever in Lorne again

Felt at home!

Ample and very clean accommodation, the sight and sound of the ocean on your doorstep, and a beautiful short stroll to township - we took the scenic route via the beach. We enjoyed warm days and cool nights so we loved the wood fire at night. All felt at home straight away including our dog! If you need a secure yard for your pooch then this won't suit - but for us it was just perfect - we will definitely be back!

Stunning property

Stunnning property. We stayed there for 6 nights in the winter period. 4 large bedrooms, could easily accomodate two or even three families. Very responsive hosting team dealt with any minor issues extremely well. Highly recommend for a relaxing, beautiful spot

Breathtaking views!

'Breathtaking views! Sunrises and sunsets were amazing not to mention watching a pod of dolphins feed/play one morning. From the moment you enter the views greet you then the home unfolds. The kitchen is set up with everything you could need or want to cook up a feast. Thank you for that! The lounge and fireplace was terrific of an evening. The bedrooms are all very spacious and with comfy beds. Clean and lovely home

Loved our time at Magnum!

My family had their first visit to Australia and down the Great Ocean Road and they loved their time at the MAGNUM! Great location with view, perfect fire place for the time of the year. Plenty of space. Would love to return for another holiday in the future!

Very spacious home , great views of the ocean clean home just need privacy install some locks for the bathroom due to sharing great holiday home would highly recommend great kitchen with all the utensils you need celebrated mothers day so it was easy for the kids to make breakfast the owners really made us feel like home tea/coffee and milk and many other groceries where kept in cupboards for the guest . Thank you to the owners

Space but NO BATHROOM PRIVACY

Totally agree! The downstairs bathroom / toilet are shared between three bedrooms, as is the upstairs main bedroom ensuite shared with the laundry through to the living area, for which there is NO privacy; locks should be and could be so easily installed. Also, we were lucky enough to have a chef cooking for us who was unable to effectively roast food in the so-called "fan-forced" oven, which failed to roast!! Linen hire arrangements totally unsatisfactory for service-fees paid. Pets policy confusing. Sorry - will be staying in Apollo Bay next time we entertain any overseas visitors.

great location

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to stay at your property. We were very satisfied with the property overall, however the only thing that could be fixedly are the bathroom/ toilet locks as the rooms are to be shared between the bedrooms / living area an a bit more privacy is required. Great view and location.

We had a group so it was the perfect size for us. Had everything we needed. View was fantastic so we had a lovely night sitting out on the balcony having a few drinks and tunes. My only disappointment was the cleanliness. I found myself walking around with the spray n wipe bottle getting rid of as much as I could off the walls (and I’m not a clean freak). The doonas left for use on beds had stains on them so we didn’t feel comfortable using them. I really would love to book it again if it has had a good clean.
