This property is set back on the lovely bushy block to provide you with privacy and peace and quiet. Enjoy some of the many board games whilst sitting by the cosy wood fire or a picnic on the deck. You're also within walking distance (approx. 600m) to the Skenes Creek main beach and only a short 10-minute drive into the township of Apollo Bay.

Ok place to stay
Julia Doherty - 5th March 2022Koala Kove is a nice place to stay in many ways. One of the few pet friendly places 😊 kitchen has most things needed, couches and bed in main room comfy, nice natural light and plenty of BirdLife and the resident koala around! It is a damp house though and has a strong musty smell that pervades everything. Backyard not all that pleasant to sit in with half finished projects about. Inside clean but outside needs a bit of TLC. Don’t rely on tv reception. …which was patchy.

The property is clean, lovely and the surrounding is quiet and beautiful. However, the heating solutions are not enough to keep the property warm when it is cold (we visited mid-April and while it was chilly it wasn't as cold as it gets during winter). All the bedrooms were chilly even with the wood-fired heater working for a whole day plus the electric heater. We also felt that it was overpriced. We booked it last minute due to another property last-minute cancelation and hoped for a nice one due to the price being high.
Koala Cove is a lovely relaxing beach house that is perfect for a small family. We have a toddler so we like properties that are on the ground floor and single level with minimum fuss. The bed in the master was really comfortable with fresh doonas and extra pillows. The house stayed cool on a hot day and was easy to warm up with the fire on a cooler day. The kitchen is a classic beach house style with everything you need to cook and serve up on the counter. Bathrooms are clean and fresh, water nice and hot. This is a really great relaxing house to stay in, a short stroll to the beach and 5 minute drive to Apollo Bay. And the resident koala an extra delight !
