Summary
Description
Set in a native landscape of tree framed ocean views and calming bush surrounds, Dridan House offers a truly relaxing beach getaway. Recycled timbers, expanses of glass and soaring ceilings embrace the ocean as comfortably as the wilderness.
With a warm open fire, wrap around decking and abundance of natural light this home is all about relaxation, immersed in nature. The expansive open plan kitchen, dining and living area offer ample comfort and space.
Three large bedrooms and two bathrooms flank the main living space. The master - with ensuite - offers ocean views from your pillow, while the 2 back bedrooms take in a spectacular bush outlook. It is not uncommon to wake to grazing kangaroos, a passing echidna or a visiting koala, and the home’s soundtrack is a symphony of native birds.
A 10-minute downhill walk into Lorne provides access to the town’s vibrant food and retail options, with abundant choices of bush walks, waterfalls and wildlife literally on your back doorstep. If you’d rather stay in, the outdoor kitchen overlooking the Erskine River valley includes a charcoal barbecue and pizza oven.
Dridan House is more than a beautiful place to relax and unwind. It is a genuine opportunity to experience all that Lorne has to offer.

Lovely house
Margo Lockhart - 10th January 2022This is the second time we have stayed in this property and we have loved it both times. It is so peaceful and just delightfully decorated. You really feel away from the crowds of Lorne and in the bush with it's setting up on the hill.
Fabulous house in an amazing location.
A nice place to stay with private bushland to the rear and a great view of Lorne beach. Just be prepared for the walk up the hill!
A little further out of the town, but very private and peaceful. Beatuful outdoor area to the rear with visiting kangaroos
Thanks for having us, we enjoyed our stay. It’s a rustic home with lots of character with a lovely big fireplace which made it very cosy. Great heating and all new kitchenware which made for a well equiped kitchen. The highlight for us was the deck extension out the back, feels like you’re sitting in nature and even had the kangaroos hop past!
Stunning craftsmen house
Andy Fergus - 21st March 2021No image can do this beautiful house justice with soaring ceilings, deep protected verandas and private views into the forest valley to the rear. We had a lovely stay with three couples and the house felt very spacious - and great for a dinner party! Wish we could have stayed longer!
Not quite ready
Stephen Francis - 26th January 2021We loved our stay at Dridan House. We certainly would consider syaying here again. The house is great and spacious. The listing states big screen TV. This is not true. A 32inch flat screen is not big. The listing states BBQ. This is nor true. Every holiday house should have one.A pizza oven is fun but is not a BBQ. The listing says air conditioning. This is not true. The heating cycle works but the cooling cycle sprays floods of water fown the wall and is dangerous for an electronic device.
Wonderful house
Margo Lockhart - 11th January 2021We absolutely loved this house. It is light, airy, beautifully decorated, and easy to live in. Everything is designed to make the holiday easy and enjoyable- gorgeous linen, a fabulous kitchen, lovely furniture, great BBQ area overlooking the forest, and wonderful views all around. A few small things could really improve the house: - the main door enters into a bedroom. This could easily be changed. - Put some clothes storage into the 2 back bedrooms Overall, a delightful home away from home
