Family holiday home.
Stephen J - 14th September 2022Great for an active family, home at the top of a big hill - overlooks a beautiful gully and no shortage of kookaburras and parrots.
Quiet & Secluded
Susan C - 5th April 2022Quiet,secluded set in front of lovely Bushland Comfortable,well-appointed easily accomodating six of us!However I would class myself as fit & the hill leading to Town is NOT 'an easy climb' BE AWARE! On arrival the House NOT clean unfortunately there was obvious dust & multiple spiders Real Estate were great very prompt in contacting the Cleaner but very uncomfortable when she appeared unannounced defensive & agrumentative! House recleaned poorly sadly, very poor start to Holiday
The house was in a great location and had ample space, including multiple living rooms, balconies and dining spaces.
Fantastic!
Samt - 7th January 2020A little bit of a hike back from the beach but a great position backing onto National Park. Good accommodation and plenty of living area.
Beautiful and quiet.
James6B - 30th January 2019We had a wonderful stay here. The layout of the house is ideal for a family, as their are two separate living areas and bathrooms, upstairs and down, which gave the kids a sense of freedom when we weren’t at the beach or exploring waterfalls. The house was quite clean, though there were quite a lot of cob webs and spiders around, but I guess that’s something you have to expect in a house on the edge of the bush. The walk down to the beach isn’t a long one, but walking back up the hill was tough going. Having said that, the proximity to the pub and local shops is pretty convenient, so it’s a small price to pay. And after a nice meal in town, it gives you a sense that you’re working off the food you just ate, so we saw the positive side of it. One minor negative was the lack of wifi. For the price we paid, I thought that would have been a given. It was great to switch of for a while, but if you’re like me and you still need to work while you’re on holiday, it’s not ideal. Hopefully the owners can rectify this soon, bcause it’s a bit of a sticking point and would make me think twice about staying here again. Also, the beds downstairs are quite small, so fine for kids, but no good for taller adults. Overall, it was a lovely place to stay and the house has a really warm, light and homely feel to it.
Relaxing
Robina - 19th January 2019Spacious, quiet two-storey house looking into the peaceful bush - very quiet at night apart from the odd koala grunt. Upstairs with main bedroom and living/kitchen means younger family can spread out downstairs with their own bathroom and also TV if wanted. Good air-conditioning and thoughtful extras left in the kitchen such as clingwrap, baking paper etc., salt and pepper, candles. Not too many nick-nacks to take up space needed for the renter's provisions. Provided linen and prepared beds makes moving in so much easier. Lock-up under-cover garage for one car is cool with space for an extra car outside front. Good walk to Teddy's Lookout and Allenvale, the walk up Bay Street keeps us fit and accustomed to it in a couple of days. Relaxing
