Relaxing holiday

Anne

Lovely older style holiday house for family with young children. Two large decks for outdoor eating and bbq were terrific, and looked out onto attractive native garden which attracted birds. No dishwasher, but everything else was there. Very convenient and quiet location.

The photo of the balcony was a bit misleading. It wasn’t specified that other guests would be sharing the building/ driveway and balcony (could hear loud footsteps and voices overhead). The balcony was in the shared entrance and not that appealing to sit in. Small things such as watered down dishwashing liquid, cheap oil, low quality toilet paper made us feel as if the priority was to save money rather than create a nice experience. Small touches such as better quality cooking oil make a big difference. As well as this, several things weren’t working such as one of the lamps in the bedroom, the light and fan above the stove, and the dishwasher. Another minor detail was an outdated CD/tape player that majority of guests probably wouldn’t use. Would be nice to have speakers (even cheap Bluetooth) as an additional touch. Basically the place was lacking a little love and a few caring touches would rectify this. We loved the view from the bedroom and the location was wonderful which still made our stay pleasant :)
