Description
My first impression upon viewing this property was, Wow.
Arguably, one the best ocean views I have ever encountered. I never imagined such a massive deck area overlooking the ocean with absolute uninterrupted views forever. Imagine, just relaxing and soaking up those sensational ocean views and letting life pass you by. Want more, the deck area also features a covered area with table and chairs and BBQ. These amazing ocean views extend into the kitchen, dining and living areas so, wherever you are, you are constantly reminded of the beauty that is Marengo.
You are also just a hop, step & a jump from the Marengo swimming beach where you can dive in for a dip, try your hand at fishing (freshly caught, straight onto the BBQ), enjoy the Great Ocean Walk or simply enjoy the Marengo Marine Sanctuary. With Apollo Bay just a 2 kms away or you can walk there via the walking track that links Marengo to Apollo Bay, where you can enjoy the many cafes, restaurants, retail outlets, hotels, supermarkets that dot the foreshore before returning to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of Marengo.
Internally, the property features a fully equipped kitchen (with all essentials provided), large dining (wall mounted LCD) and living (LCD & DVD) areas. There are 3 bedrooms (main with en suite & LCD), main bathroom, separate laundry and parking in a 3 car garage.
Also, as part of your holiday rental and situated adjacent to the main house, is a fully renovated modern studio apartment (very large), complete with queen bed (4th bedroom), en suite (shower, vanity & toilet), LCD & DVD with remote, fridge, reverse cycle air conditioning. Imagine, waking up in the morning to be greeted by sensational panoramic ocean views from your bed, life does not get much better than that.

Overall Great Property
Darrell L - 11th March 2024The deck on this property is even bigger than the pictures - it's enormous! And the view is sensational, with a short walk down to a wonderful and fairly secluded beach. The inside on the other hand is a little cramped but we were only in and out for sleeping so it didn't matter much. Overall a great place to stay.

Marengo holiday

Shameful service and property - multiple problems with house and cleaning - DO NOT HIRE
Marco A - 15th April 2023Instead of spending time with my 80 yr old Mum & family I found myself spending most of the two days troubleshooting and cleaning. I couldn’t believe that we paid to rent this property for around >$1000 dollars per night but instead it felt worse than a really run down motel. Specifically issues included: - broken glass on the balcony - dental floss left on floor of the bathroom - no hoovering in some bedrooms etc

The pictures of the place do not reflect a dated property where hot water was only available in one of the three toilets at all times. Studio doesn’t have hot water at night. Tv reception in studio only limited to SBS and weather dependant. The Views from the deck are amazing. Great location but house needs a bit of work

Natalie F - 28th January 2022Fantastic location and view. 5min walk to sheltered end of Marengo Beach. Right on great ocean walk with a 65min walk away to Shelly Beach, 30min walk to Apollo Bay or short 5min drive to main surf beach at the surf club. House is functional with parking available in garage and a great deck area including a sheltered section for outside dinning. Basic provisions could be improved, not enough toilet paper, no dishwashing tablets, very limited glassware, no pantry, no candles. Overall good.
Great Location but the house is a little tired and could do with a bit of an update.

Tania W - 14th April 2021We had a wonderful 4 nights away and this property suited our family of 6.adults perfectly. Although the property is on the older side it more than makes up for it with the great view, huge deck and great space. The spacious studio room or fourth bedroom was an added bonus. Very quiet location and great base to see all the tourist spots on the Great Ocean Road. Great communication from Great Ocean Road Holidays and would definitely stay again.
Great for families close to all you need and lots to do. We will beack on the near future.

The views were amazing and it was nice to see sunrise/sunset straight from the deck. The team at GreatOceanRoad Holidays was exceptional in their service and hospitality.
