Description

Binalong is a sensational beach house located on the famous Great Ocean Road at Big Hill.

A 5 minute drive takes you to the restaurants, cafes and beaches in Lorne or the Fairhaven Surf Club is only 10 minutes away.

Upstairs has an open plan living, kitchen and dining area with polished timber floors and wood fire. A floor to ceiling window in the living area provides an uninterrupted view of the coast line. The outdoor entertaining deck has a gas BBQ, outdoor furniture and is just off the dining area and of course has ocean views. You will also have the local bird life drop in!

The master bedroom upstairs features amazing views of Lorne especially at night. The ensuite has a bath tub and a feature window where you can relax, unwind and enjoy the ocean views.

The second bedroom downstairs has a queen bed and access to the deck, the third bedroom has a trio bunk. The laundry and bathroom are also on this level.

Whether you are a couple, a family or a group of friends you will enjoy the tranquil bush backdrop and the ocean views at Binalong.

Please note that Binalong is not walking distance to shops or beach and as the name suggests, the property is located on a big hill, so the driveway access is steep.

It is important to understand this property is a holiday rental, not a shared space or principle place of residence, which ensures you privacy and quiet enjoyment. It is also professionally managed, giving you peace of mind of 24/7 support by a local, just around the corner.

Pricing is based around seasons, length of stay and number of guests. It is important all bookings reflect the exact number of guests. If this changes, you must contact us. Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the published rates across all booking platforms, however Great Ocean Road Real Estate Holidays reserves the right to correct pricing errors.

Unless otherwise previously agreed, all stays must only be used for private residential usage and to accommodate the number of guests stated on your booking. Unless ‘Pets Welcome’ is advertised, the property is strictly no pets.

All holiday accommodation bookings are accepted on the basis that all occupants will treat the property with the same respect as their own home in accordance with the “House Rules”. Noise audible outside the property is prohibited between 10pm and 8am.

It was ok

The view from the house was amazing. We enjoyed our stay however for 7 people it would've been better if there were two showers rather than one. Also there was no air conditioning so on hot days it was extremely hot as there is no curtains upstairs to stop the sun coming in. Unfortunately the views alone isn't enough to have us come back. It is very steep and hilly (kind of dangerous when going up or down the driveway in the evening) few snakes and huntsmans also, I would definitely say this property is not kid friendly!! It was ok for a few days stay.

Overpriced, needs work

This house is not well equipped for 7 people. It is run down, with no usable outdoor furniture. The dishwasher was broken as were the main cupboard doors, and no pantry to keep enough food for 7. The ensuite has no shower, only a bath so 7 share one shower. The deck/balcony was unsafe as the balustrade was falling off. No AC meant hot days were unbearable. We would not recommend this house to anyone. Whilst we are happy to pay a premium price, basing it all on a good view is not enough.

What an amazing home! Absolutely stunning views of the ocean, and so calm and isolated in the bush. Amazing place for a relaxing weekend away and just a few mins drive from Lorne.
