We have very high standards & are very picky, but found the apartment to be super clean, comfortable, lovely & modern. Lovely views & easy to get to 12 Apostles. We really enjoyed our stay!

We stayed at Apollo Blue 11 for three nights over the weekend and it was the first time staying at this complex. We are seasonal Apollo Bay visitors for over 20 years now. The views are absolutely amazing and the location being at the top of the street is walking distance to all of the shops as well as the pier, swimming beach, seafood/fish co-op and breakwall. The main positives on this apartment are clearly the view and location and the inside of the apartment was clean and tidy and modern. The negatives were the cleanliness outside on the balconies, both the front and the main bedroom balconies were very dirty which was a stark comparison to the cleanliness inside. Keeping in mind the great views, sitting out on the front balcony was a must, but also the cleanliness let this down as the glass barrier was not clean. When I mentioned this to the real estate I was told that the cleaners did not clean balcony areas and it was a job for the body corporate/maintenance. OK, so that is fine, but someone needs to organise cleaning these areas before planning to rent out. Also the dishwasher was not working (on recall). I understand this cannot be helped, but maybe it could have been mentioned to me on check-in as it is being advertised as a service available. I dont like to do dishes on my holidays, so this was disappointing! Overall I have given this property 4 stars due to the location and views. The holiday manager at Great Ocean real estate was lovely to deal with, however some pre-notification about the dishwasher and a better response regarding the report of cleanliness, other than 'the cleaners don't clean balconies' would have been better.
